Phonics

The children in KS1 usually receive an hour of phonics every day. We have put together some resources for you to continue practising your child’s phonic skills whilst at home.

At Grove Primary School we use a program called Read Write Inc to deliver phonics. There are some useful  videos on their website for parents here: https://www.ruthmiskin.com/en/

Please visit the parents page for lots of useful videos to explain how phonics works and how you can help your child.  There is also a link here to follow their Facebook and Twitter pages which will have regular tips for supporting your child’s reading and writing at home.

Here are some further websites that you may like to use to help your child with their reading and writing.
