Grove Primary School

Your child’s final year at Grove will be full of new and exciting challenges that we are sure your child will enjoy. Year 6 is a very important year educationally, as staff help your child prepare for their end of year SATs. Children will further develop their independence through a range of pupil roles within school, which will see them supporting staff with jobs around school and working with younger children. We will also support your child in preparing for their transition to secondary school, including increasing responsibility. Children will be provided with a laptop to support their learning which can be used both in school and out of school. Children are expected to bring the laptops into school daily. At the end of the year, Year 6 will take part in producing and performing a production, giving them the opportunity to sing, dance and act in front of the whole school.
